There are two groups of Youth Bull Riders:
Ages 9-13 (steers): entry fee $20
Ages 14-18 (bulls): entry fee $30
Entries open August 11 at 1pm and close August 17 at 9pm
. To enter text or call Kaitlynn at 970-846-8022 or email khbuckinghorses@gmail.com. Paperwork and pay- ment must be completed at the fair office August 14-18 where participants will receive their back number. Buckle awarded to the winner.
Rules/Requirements: Protective helmets and vests provid- ed. Mouthpieces are recommended and must be provided by contestants. Participants can bring their own equip- ment and are encouraged to do so. Riders cannot touch the animal with their free arm or they are DQed, no wraps, gloves may be worn to help hold on the braided bucking rope strap, no sharp rowls on spurs and rowls must have turn movement. Time starts when rider nods and the shoulder of animal breaks plane of gate. There is no mark out rule. Riders may only ride with one hand.
