Fair Parade Marshalls
Larry guss and jackie grimaldi
Larry and Jackie are one of the reasons the Routt County Fair exhibition hall has that “ahhhh” factor when people enter the building. They work as superintendents in the Routt County Fair Home Arts Quilting Department. The department went from 25 quilts to over 100 as Jackie never stops promoting the fair year ‘round, always encouraging people to bring their quilts to the fair and seldom takes no for an answer. She toes around the county picking up car loads of entries from quilters. Jackie created the 100th Routt County Fair Anniversary T-Shirt quilt, which she donated to the fair.
Jackie supervises and directs as Larry carefully and meticulously hangs the breathtaking quilts entered by talented Routt County residents and crafters. More often than not, Larry is hanging quilts made by Jackie. They make a great team. The Routt County Fair is thankful that they are so willing to spend their time volunteering to make the fair’s exhibition hall one of the best in the state.
